  • On ‘The Dead Man Must Wait’

    ,

I have new Dead Man in the August 2020 edition of the enigmatic RIC Journal. The Dead Man waits. The gods sip tea. The pandemic continues. With thanks as always to S. Read.

  • On ‘The Video of the Dead Man’

    ,

My poem The Video of the Dead Man has been published in the July 2020 edition of RIC Journal. The Dead Man waves. The pandemic continues. With thanks as always to S. Read.

  • On ‘The Dead Man’s Death’

    ,

So the Dead Man is finally dying, dies, dead… my piece The Dead Man’s Death has been published in the June 2020 edition of RIC Journal. I hope you like this one – it was a nice one to write, appeared in my head and simply needed to be set down, adjusted a little, polished Read.

  • On ‘The Dead Man’s Gun’

    ,

My piece The Dead Man’s Gun has been published in the May 2020 edition of the ever-mysterious RIC Journal. The Dead Man shifts and shakes based on mood or the position of the stars – I’m never sure where I will find him or where he will end up, especially in the era of the Read.

  • On ‘Reverse Obituary’

    ,

Very pleased to say that my piece Reverse Obituary has been published in the January 2020 edition of RIC Journal. This was inspired by the desire to write an obit of sorts for Kabid and pull all the threads of his life story – i.e. pre-death and before he became The Dead Man – together; Read.

  • On ‘Dead Man Poems II’

    ,

Very happy to be able to write that my second suite of Dead Man poems has been published by RIC in their December 2019 edition. It’s always a thrill to see my writing in RIC Journal, and it’s especially gratifying to see the Dead Man, who RIC have been so supportive of, continuing to see Read.

  • On ‘Untitled (Sundown rewrite)’

    ,

Pleased to say that my poem Untitled (Sundown rewrite) has been published in the November 2019 edition of RIC Journal. Had more thoughts on the Sundown piece – also published in RIC, in December last year – probably wrote that around the same time of year I wrote this one – maybe it’s the light – Read.

  • On ‘Crocodilian’

    ,

Very pleased to post that my poem Crocodilian has been published in the October 2019 edition of the ever-off-centre RIC. This issue also happens to be the third (!) anniversary of the publication, and as is now customary, the anniversary comes with a theme. This time it’s the Devil and Hell, hence the subject of Read.

  • On ‘Dead Man Poems I’

Very pleased to say some of my Dead Man poems have been published in the September 2019 issue of the ever-unorthodox RIC. In this set, the Dead Man considers his options, regrets his recklessness and shares his wisdom. Crossing fingers that more on the Dead Man is to come… Thanks as always to Saudamini for Read.

  • On ‘Untitled (In wait for an eclipse)’

Very pleased to report that my poem Untitled (In wait for an eclipse) has been published by RIC Journal. Started this with the image of people in the street staring up at the sky and coupled that with Boumahra Ahmed, a town on the Oued Syebouse in Algeria. Boumahra Ahmed appeared in my iPhone’s weather app Read.
