Gerald Murnane – Another World in This One
My Paris Review piece on the now-infamous 2018 Gerald Murnane conference in Goroke, Victoria will be published as part of Gerald Murnane: Another World in This One, papers from and inspired by the conference. The collection is edited by Professor Anthony Uhlmann of Western Sydney University; it was a thrill to be asked by Anthony Read.

On ‘Reverse Obituary’
Very pleased to say that my piece Reverse Obituary has been published in the January 2020 edition of RIC Journal. This was inspired by the desire to write an obit of sorts for Kabid and pull all the threads of his life story – i.e. pre-death and before he became The Dead Man – together; Read.

On ‘Dead Man Poems II’
Very happy to be able to write that my second suite of Dead Man poems has been published by RIC in their December 2019 edition. It’s always a thrill to see my writing in RIC Journal, and it’s especially gratifying to see the Dead Man, who RIC have been so supportive of, continuing to see Read.

On Anne Serre’s The Fool
I had the serious pleasure of reviewing The Fool and Other Moral Tales by Anne Serre for Music & Literature. Picked up The Fool on a whim (cover got me, and the fact it was published by New Directions), thoroughly enjoyed what Serre was up to, and immediately ordered The Governesses. Wanted more, but this Read.

On ‘Untitled (Sundown rewrite)’
Pleased to say that my poem Untitled (Sundown rewrite) has been published in the November 2019 edition of RIC Journal. Had more thoughts on the Sundown piece – also published in RIC, in December last year – probably wrote that around the same time of year I wrote this one – maybe it’s the light – Read.

On ‘Shelly Valentine’ – an excerpt from 926 Years
So the 926 Years release officially begins with the November 2019 mail out from Sublunary Editions, on the way to subscribers now. The November letter takes a cut called ‘Shelly Valentine’ from the book I co-wrote with Kyle Coma-Thompson. Should give you an idea of the vibe of the thing and the games Kyle and Read.
