  • On ‘Crocodilian’

    ,

Very pleased to post that my poem Crocodilian has been published in the October 2019 edition of the ever-off-centre RIC. This issue also happens to be the third (!) anniversary of the publication, and as is now customary, the anniversary comes with a theme. This time it’s the Devil and Hell, hence the subject of Read.

  • On the occasion of the announcement of the forthcoming publication of 926 Years

    ,

A few years ago (I’m being coy here, the internet doesn’t forget), I posted on social media my reaction to a story I’d read by Kyle Coma-Thompson, a writer from Louisville, Kentucky. The global literary community is small and beautiful, like something you’d discover on an empty beach. Kyle’s wife Marie saw the tweet, told Read.

  • On ‘Dead Man Poems I’

Very pleased to say some of my Dead Man poems have been published in the September 2019 issue of the ever-unorthodox RIC. In this set, the Dead Man considers his options, regrets his recklessness and shares his wisdom. Crossing fingers that more on the Dead Man is to come… Thanks as always to Saudamini for Read.

  • On ‘Untitled (In wait for an eclipse)’

Very pleased to report that my poem Untitled (In wait for an eclipse) has been published by RIC Journal. Started this with the image of people in the street staring up at the sky and coupled that with Boumahra Ahmed, a town on the Oued Syebouse in Algeria. Boumahra Ahmed appeared in my iPhone’s weather app Read.

  • On ‘Poem for the Dead Man’

I have a piece in the January 2019 edition of RIC Journal titled Poem for the Dead Man. Thought I could leave the dead man behind… This could only have been published by RIC. I’m deeply thankful to S – as usual. Read.

  • On ‘Sundown’

    ,

My short story or fragment Sundown has been published in the final edition of RIC Journal for 2018. It’s always always a serious pleasure to be in RIC, a singular journal that continues to do its very own thing. Long may that continue. With thanks to S, as usual. Read.
